Varden Living Walls Were Our Beginning:

We get so busy focusing on food with our Varden Vertical Gardens and focusing on landscapes with our Varden Living Retaining Walls, that sometimes we forget that we started with our Varden Living Walls. That was our original product idea that brought Verdtech, Inc. to where we are today.

Our innovative and patented Varden living wall system is the product that we formed our business around at the beginning. It was designed to be an excellent product for interior and exterior living walls, or green walls or planter walls as some will call them. At its heart, it is an elegantly designed system of components for growing plants in a vertical orientation while attached to a building.

Design Focus:

Our Varden system was designed after having quite a bit of experience with other living wall systems available in the marketplace. Every system we worked with had its strengths and weaknesses. We focused on designing for the common strengths we had experienced.

Attributes such as: Few parts, common parts, readily available parts, durable parts and easy access to irrigation parts.

The list of common weaknesses that we wanted to reverse with Varden were: plant health, high maintenance costs, and high installation costs due to imported components and inefficient use of labor.

That’s the boring part. The exciting part is that we feel we accomplished that with our Varden system and it’s just a super easy system to attach to walls inside or outside of a building. Our overall design focus was on excellent plant culture, so plants are very happy in their new home and therefore not taking a lot of maintenance intensity to keep them happy for the long term. What Makes A Good Living Wall:

I could go on and on about what makes a good living wall and how many of those attributes are embodied in our Varden system, but that is just too sales-ish.
